Andre really didn't want to eat at a burger joint--he thought we should be eating more vegetables.
But Gameboy and I pointed out that the platter came with FOUR vegetables: lettuce,
tomatoes, cucumbers (pickles), and potatoes. Andre succumbed under protest (after
grumbling about fat content) and then ordered
a loaded dog and a rootbeer float!
Gameboy (who doesn't much care for beef) had the
grilled chicken sandwich, fries, cookies (which he split with Andre), and rootbeer.
I had a plain cheeseburger,
half of Gameboy's fries, a chocolate shake (wonderfully thick with whipped cream on top),
and pink
lemonade. The burger was a match for Steak and Shake's (thin, tasty, good bun), and
the service was MUCH better. If you order the rootbeer (made fresh daily), be sure
to get it in one of the frosty glass mugs.
Worth the drive and the cholesterol--next time I'm in Maryville, I'll stop again.
